Quick Start

Welcome to PlayRen — the cloud gaming platform for visual novels and story-driven games. No downloads, no installs. Just open your browser and play.

This guide walks you through going from zero to playing your first game in about five minutes.

Step 1: Create Your Account

Head to play.ren.bd/register and create an account. You can sign up with an email and password, or use Google OAuth for one-click registration.

Once registered, you'll be taken to your dashboard.

Step 2: Add a Library Code

Games on PlayRen are provided through library partners — publishers and distributors who host game catalogs. To access their games, you need a library code.

Go to your Dashboard and click Library.
Click the Add Library Code button.
Enter the code provided by your partner (e.g., from a purchase confirmation email or partner website).
The partner's game catalog will appear in your library immediately.

If you don't have a library code yet, check the Partners page to see available providers.

Step 3: Browse and Pick a Game

Once your library is populated, you can browse available titles:

Use the search bar to find a specific game by name.
Click on any game card to view its detail page, including description, screenshots, and tags.
Hit the heart icon to save games to your favorites for quick access later.

Step 4: Launch Your First Game

On the game detail page, click the Play button. Here's what happens behind the scenes:

PlayRen selects the best available cloud server for you.
A Docker container spins up with the game pre-loaded.
A WebRTC stream connects your browser to the running game.
The game appears in your browser tab — fully interactive.

The launch process typically takes 10-20 seconds. You'll see a loading indicator while the server prepares your session.

Step 5: Play!

Once the stream connects, you're in full control:

Click and type as you normally would — input is sent to the cloud game in real time.
Use the fullscreen button in the stream toolbar for an immersive experience.
Your progress is automatically saved server-side. You get up to 3 save slots per game.

Step 6: Stop Your Session

When you're done, click the Stop button in the stream toolbar or navigate away from the play page. Your session will be cleaned up and your save data preserved for next time.
