Creating an Account

To play games on PlayRen, you need a free account. Registration takes less than a minute.

Registration Options

PlayRen supports two ways to create an account:

Email and Password

1. Go to play.ren.bd/register.
2. Enter your email address and choose a password (minimum 8 characters).
3. Enter your display name — this is shown on your profile and in your dashboard.
4. Click Create Account.
5. You may receive a verification email depending on your account settings. Click the link in the email to confirm your address.

Google OAuth

1. Go to play.ren.bd/register.
2. Click the Continue with Google button.
3. Select your Google account and authorize PlayRen.
4. Your account is created automatically using your Google profile name and email.

Google OAuth is the fastest option — one click and you're in.

After Registration

Once your account is created, you'll be redirected to your Dashboard. From here you can:

• Add a library code to access games from a partner.
• Browse the game catalog to see what's available.
• Update your profile with a display name or avatar.

Profile Settings

To update your profile after registration:

1. Click your avatar or name in the top-right corner of the navigation bar.
2. Select Settings from the dropdown menu.
3. You can update your:
   • Display name — shown on your dashboard and profile.
   • Email address — used for login (email/password accounts only).
   • Password — change your password at any time.

Account Security

• Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and never stored in plain text.
• Sessions are managed via secure HTTP-only cookies with JWT tokens.
• Google OAuth accounts inherit Google's two-factor authentication if enabled.
• Failed login attempts are rate-limited to prevent brute-force attacks.

Linking Google to an Existing Account

If you registered with email and later want to add Google sign-in:

1. Go to your Settings page.
2. Under Linked Accounts, click Link Google Account.
3. Authorize PlayRen with your Google account.
4. You can now sign in with either method.

Deleting Your Account

If you want to delete your account, contact support through the Contact page. Account deletion removes your profile, play history, save files, and all associated data. This action is irreversible.
